Recent Tasks:

  • Team is still working on validating the 10 year data file.
  • We are currently experiencing significant delays in our project timeline due to issues encountered with EAB's handling of PBAC student data inclusion. It has been identified that PBAC students should not be incorporated into the CSU predictive data model and must be excluded. We are currently awaiting a response from EAB regarding this matter and are also awaiting a new list from them to validate against.
    • This has caused a delay in our project timeline.
Upcoming Tasks:
  • Resolve the outstanding issue with EAB.
  • Complete data validation.
  • Identify success markers with faculty.
  • Create a change management strategy considering the advising changes occuring on campus.

Description

Currently, the advisors and counselors at our campus are unable to access a predictive analytical tool that would allow them to focus on student success/retention effort on particular advisee population. Education Advisory Board (EAB) Navigate offers a built-in predictive analysis module that could benefit advisors and counselors on our campus as they advise students on a 1-1 basis, and it can allow them to focus their time and resources on students that the platform recommends need attention to succeed.
