Requirements
The ultimate aim of this project is to enable an environment at Sacramento State which allows individuals, groups and systems to interact seamlessly for learning, teaching and administration. The outcomes include:
· Identification and prioritization of user requirements.
· Develop content that meets the requirements identified by users.
· Identify new services and how existing services can be better integrated in to the portal.
· Develop and implement a new portal infrastructure that aligns with the mobile application.
· Develop and implement a training program that ensures successful implementation of a portal.

Many of the factors that have led to the development of this project are shared with institutions across Higher Education, nationally and internationally. These include:
· Increasing complexity of, and the proliferation of, web-based services provided to university stake holders;
· Demand from students and staff for better service. A portal enables a customer-centered (stakeholder) provision of university services. 24/7 access to information and services;
· The need to simplify and improve access to information within universities.
· Sac State Portal and Sac State Mobile App need to align content and serve students, faculty and staff.
Functional Teams and Other Resources

A steering committee will be created to provide support and oversight to the progress of the project. The committee will include stakeholders from across campus, including but not limited to representatives from: ABA; Academic Affairs; Alumni; ASI; Faculty Senate; AITC; Staff; Student Affairs; University Events; UComms.
