Problem / Opportunity
Briefly summarize the problem or opportunity you propose to address. Write this in terms of the organizational problem being addressed, not in terms of the solution needed.
UEI is currently running several severs on a MS Hyper-V infrastructure in their own data center. This represents a security risk as the infrastructure is not in our central secure IRT data center, and has diverged from the Sac State preference for utilizing a common hypervisor platform on VMWare. Standardizing on VMWare, Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux in IRT's central data center helps to ensure common baseline hardening, improved patch management, physical security, and proper log management.
Functional Teams and Other Resources
Please do your best to define personnel needed for your project, as well as your best estimate of the number of hours needed from those project team members.
